The Cooling Solution is a traveling exhibition, a catalog, and a website.
The Cooling Solution is born out of a 5-year-long ERC project lead by the University of Venice that investigates how people from different socioeconomic backgrounds around the world adapt to rising temperatures and humidity, focusing on inequalities linked to access to energy and cooling technologies.
It combines scientific results with personal stories, offering a visual journey through people’s lived experiences of ineffective and inefficient cooling, hypercooling, heat dumping, vernacular architecture, and cutting-edge cooling technologies in Brazil, India, Indonesia, and Italy.
